Marled merino

The merino I spun last weekend is finally dry and ready to knit.  The yarn is quite chunky, marled, and there’s not a huge amount of it (188g).

As a result, I think the options are either a traditional woolly hat or maybe the chunky Arc mittens in Interweave Knits Accessories 2011.

I’m slightly concerned that the yarn could be unbalanced as, depending on what advice you follow, I probably over-twisted it during plying.  This is not generally a problem when weaving. However, when it comes to knitting it’s a different matter. I’ve read that the pattern could quickly develop a slant.

We’ll see!
