I like kits

Following hard on the heels (sorry!) of the sock kit comes something a bit more straightforward… a collarette/shawl.  I fell in love with the colours when I saw the kit on The Old Piggery stand at Wonderwool Wales 2012.

This little shawl uses 5 different skeins of hand dyed yarns on 4.5mm needles and a combination of basic stitches.

It was lovely to knit, apart from the mohair loop yarn which was rather fine and ‘sticky’ for my taste but really contributed to the overall mix of textures.

One for the Christmas List… a tailor’s display dummy for better photographs!
